My Role: Lead Designer and Coder
This is a personal project on my part as someone who loved growing up with Pokemon as a kid. I want to be able to re-explore the field of digital pets and be able to document my journey in creating an open source project where individuals can build their own tamagotchi-like digital pets and be able to build their own community. One where they can train their pets, interact with the pets of others, and not fall for the pitfalls of other previous attempts from people who had misguided intentions. I'd want to eventually scale it so there's a component of the small physical device you could be able to make at home with little technical experience but also a corresponding web and app method to make it as accessible as possible and so that you can always be in contact with you digipets.
